Before you became a mum you had an image of how it might be, but the reality is so much harder than what you thought. You're overwhelmed and exhausted. And you feel stretched thin, some days pushed to breaking point.
The feelings can be intense. Guilt, disappointment, sadness, anger, rage, grief, anxiety. Sometimes it's hard to make sense of all the conflicting emotions.
You think you shouldn't feel like this. So, you put on a mask for everyone. Because deep down you feel a sense of shame. Like you are failing. It's isolating and lonely.
You are carrying so much but sometimes it feels like you are invisible. Like nobody truly sees just how hard this is and how much you do.
I support you to feel seen and heard in your motherhood journey. To have a space where you can stop pretending that everything is okay, and say how you really feel without judgement.
Together we can unpack all of the things that are keeping you stuck and holding you back. So that you can reconnect with yourself and move forward with confidence and calm.

How I support you
Becoming a mum is a transformative journey and every woman has a unique experience. But after doing this work for ten years, I know that there are also lots of common threads to our stories.
You can't seem to find your feet or adjust to how much your life has changed. It feels relentless and you wish you could have a moment to just breathe.
You feel disconnected and like you've lost parts of yourself. You want to find a way back to feeling lighter, but it's so hard and you don't quite know where to start.
You aren't even sure what it is that is holding you back, but something doesn't feel right. You aren't yourself.
You feel like you aren't enough. You're pulled in a hundred directions and there's nothing left of you. No time or energy left for the things that bring you peace and joy.
You're wondering why you don't feel what you're suppose to feel, and the shame is loud. This isn't how you wanted things to be.
You're weighed down by guilt, anger, frustration, resentment, mum rage, stress, anxiety and worry.
And it feels lonely.
Each week, I sit with mothers navigating the weight of this. And I support them to find a way back to themselves.

What will the session be like?
Our sessions together will be online, meaning that we can connect from the safety and comfort of your home.
I know that coming to counselling can feel daunting. You are so used to being there for everyone else that getting support for you can feel hard.
My approach is gentle and supportive. We work at your pace to unravel the things that feel overwhelming. And together we can unpack the patterns that no longer serve you. Honour the parts of your story that have never had the chance to be truly acknowledged. And find a way to heal and move forward.

I'm a wife, a mum to a beautiful little girl and I live in a small country town in rural Victoria, Australia.
I've supported hundreds of women through early motherhood and I would be deeply honoured to support you too.
I also have my own story of becoming a mum and navigating recovery from a traumatic birth. So I really do get just how hard it can be.
