Medicare Rebates

Providing you with accessible and affordable support is important to me, which is why Medicare rebates are available for birth debriefing and counselling sessions with a referral from your GP.

With this referral, you are entitled to 3 sessions that will attract a Medicare rebate of approximately $70 per session for eligible ladies.

You will need to pay the full fee for your session at the time of booking. Following your session with me, I will process your Medicare claim. Your rebate will then be paid into your bank account by Medicare (usually within a few business days).

To be eligible you must be currently pregnant, or have been pregnant at any time in the previous 12 months.

Getting Your GP Referral
You must obtain your GP referral before your appointment.

You can click below to download a copy of a referral form and see the full details/eligibility criteria for the Medicare item number I use to claim which is 'non-directive pregnancy counselling'. Please note your GP can use their own template or referral form if they like, but need to ensure the referral is for me (Bec Long) to provide the service.

Once you have your GP referral, please email me a copy at [email protected] along with your Medicare card details if they are not on the referral.
