Free Webinar
Your birth might be over. But if it still lives in your body, your thoughts and your relationships then you don't have to carry it alone.

Many women walk away from birth feeling unsettled, anxious, numb, or constantly replaying what happened.
You may look “fine” on the outside. But inside, something still doesn’t sit right.
You might notice:
- Intrusive memories or flashbacks.
- Guilt, self-blame, or a loss of trust in your body.
- Feeling disconnected from your baby or partner.
- A sense of grief or like you've lost something.
- A lack of confidence in your parenting or anxiety about your baby's health.
- Fear around future pregnancies or medical care.
And yet, you wonder if what you went through is “bad enough” to deserve support.
How can you start to process your birth experience?
Â
A gentle first step isn’t therapy — it’s understanding.
During the webinar, we'll gently explore:
- Why birth experiences can stay with you and be difficult to move forward from.
- Common emotional responses after birth (that many women don't talk about).
- Practical, compassionate ways to begin processing and recovering.
You’ll leave with clarity, language for what you’re experiencing, and a clearer sense of what support might look like for you. Either now or in the future.
This webinar will guide you through:
-
Understanding the difference between a difficult birth and a traumatic birth (and why it's not black and white.)
- The most 3 common types of distressing and traumatic experiences that can occur in birth & how they impact you long after you leave hospital.
-
How your birth experience can impact your parenting and your relationship/attachment with your baby.
-
Ways a difficult or traumatic birth can affect your sense of self, relationships and plans for the future, both in the short and long term.
-
What supports healing, and what doesn't.
-
Steps towards processing and healing from your birth.
-
Options for support, including the role of birth debriefing in healing and how to decide if it might be right for you.
- Birth after trauma, including how to plan for another pregnancy or birth experience. Â
Hi, I'm Bec.
Â
I'm a wife, a mum to a beautiful little girl and I live in Maryborough, Victoria.
I've supported hundreds of women through early motherhood, hearing their stories of pain, grief, resentment, guilt, anger and loss. And I've walked alongside them as they move to a place of growth and healing.
I also have my own story of becoming a mum and navigating recovery from a traumatic birth. So, I really do get just how hard it can be. Â
Why I'm offering this webinar
As a birth and perinatal counsellor, I know that there isn't enough support for mums who are recovering from birth and perinatal trauma.
So many women feel lost, confused and unsure how to move forward or make sense of what happened to them in birth.Â
Many women go years without reaching out or getting the support they need, and I want to change that.
This webinar is a starting place for processing and understanding what happened to you in birth and finding ways to move forward.
Who this is for (and not for)
This is for you if:
- Your birth still feels unresolved, upsetting or hard to make sense of.
- You think your birth might have been traumatic and want to understand more.
- You think what happened in birth might still be affecting you and want to minimize the impact on your life, parenting and relationships.
- You would like learn about the steps that you can take to support your emotional healing.Â
Â
This isn’t for you if:
- You don't feel emotionally ready to reflect on your birth experience yet.
- You need immediate support.
My birth was months/years ago. Is this webinar still suitable for me?
What if I can't make the live?
Will there be any live support or question time?
How long will the webinar be?
This webinar has been created to support you to:
Â
- Feel seen, heard and validated in your experience.Â
- Begin gently reflecting on your birth story.
- Understand if your birth might have been traumatic, and what you can do if it was.
- Explore the ways that birth can impact your sense of sense, parenting and relationships both in the short and long term.
- Feel clearer about the steps you can take to support emotional healing and move forward from what happened in birth.
If you are ready to start moving forward from what happened in birth, then the first step is understanding and gentle support.
