How to Lighten the Load
Free Workshop
If everything feels heavy right now and you're quietly struggling through the day... you're not failing, you're overloaded.
 Â
Motherhood can feel draining some days, and it feels like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.Â
You're lying awake at night replaying the way you snapped at your toddler in the supermarket, or counting down the minutes until you partner gets home.
Getting even a minute to yourself can feel impossible - because every time you think you might have a moment of breathing space someone needs you again. The baby wakes up. The toddler yells out 'mum' for the 187th time.Â
You want to be present and enjoy the time with your little ones, but your mind is often elsewhere. Running through the endless to-do list or worrying that you should be doing more.
It feels like there's so much on your plate and not enough hours in the day. You love your kids more than anything, but you often feel like you're failing them. And that hurts. Â
If youâve been feeling stretched too thin, stuck in worry and wondering if youâll ever catch your breath then know that that it's not because you aren't enough. It's because the world expects too much.Â
And you don't have to keep pushing through alone.
These are the stories I hear constantly...
- The pace of life feels relentless, and there's never time to catch your breath.
- Even when you do get a break, your mind never really switches off.
- Your days feel stressful and exhausting.
- Life has been throwing you curveballs and the weight of it feels too much.
- Self-care feels like another thing on your to do list that you're failing at.
- No matter how much you do, it never feels like enough.Â
This is the invisible load that so many mothers carry. The part no one sees, but that you feel deeply every single day.
Itâs easy to get stuck in this cycle, going through the motions while feeling weighed down. This isn't a reflection of your ability as a mother, it's a reflection of the unrealistic expectations placed on you.
What if things could feel lighter?
You donât need quick fixes or more pressure. You don't need another list of things you "should" be doing.
And the answer to feeling more on top of things isn't doing more. What you need are small, meaningful shifts that help lighten your emotional loadâshifts that actually fit into your real life.
Thatâs what this workshop is about.
Together we'll make sense of the chaos - and break things down into small actionable steps that actually make a difference to how you feel about yourself and your parenting. Â
In this workshop we will:
â
Unpack whatâs truly weighing you down.
â
Learn practical tools to ease stress, without adding more to your plate.
â
Recognise the hidden patterns that are keeping you stuck.
â
Support you to feel lighter, more grounded, and more present with your children.
Youâll walk away with strategies, but more than that, feeling deeply seen and valued. With a sense of relief and a clear picture of how to move forward.
Why this workshop is different
This isnât another generic âjust practice self-careâ talk. Because if self-care alone worked, you wouldn't still feel this way. And you don't need another person telling you to light a candle or take a bath.Â
You need something that actually helps you make sense of your world in the middle of messy, real mum life.
I've worked with mums for a decade as a perinatal counsellor, but I'm also a mum myself. So, I know what works (and what doesn't). I want to give you strategies that donât just look good on paper, but that acknowledge the very real emotional weight of motherhood.
Iâll share with you a powerful tool Iâve used with hundreds of mums. Something you can apply to your own situation right there in the workshop. By the end, youâll feel clearer on whatâs truly draining your time and energy, and youâll know how to start making small, gentle shifts that actually stick.
You'll walk away from this with:
đż Relief and clarity about whatâs adding to your stress.
đż Simple, doable strategies to ease overwhelm.
đż A tool that you can come back to again and again - so that the next time life gets messy or stressful you have something to help you find a way forward.
đżÂ A feeling of being lighter, like your mind isn't so full and you actually have the motivation and mental space to start making gentle changes.
Who this is for (and not for)
This is for you if:
â You feel stretched thin, emotionally and physically.
â You want grounded, practical strategies that donât add to your load.
â Youâre ready to gently reflect and make small shifts.
This isnât for you if:
â You feel you already have enough support.
â Youâre not in a place where you want to try anything new, even small shifts.
â Youâre looking for something medical or diagnostic, rather than practical day to day support.

Hi, I'm Bec.
Â
I'm a wife, a mum to a beautiful little girl and I live in Maryborough, Victoria.
I've supported hundreds of women through early motherhood, hearing their stories of pain, grief, resentment, guilt, anger and loss. And I've walked alongside them as they move to a place of growth and healing.
I also have my own story of becoming a mum and navigating recovery from a traumatic birth. So, I really do get just how hard it can be. Â
What if I can't make the live?
Will there be any live support or question time?
How long will the workshop it be?
"Hi Bec. I just listened to your free workshop... Thankyou it was great. It's such important work you are doing and I just wanted to say thanks."
"A great reminder of how to help cope on rainy days. I'll recommend your program to other mums too."
Â
